Connecting British Dentistry with the Arab World
In September 1999, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal (Princess Anne) officially opened the Arab Centre for Oral Health, also known as the British Centres for Excellence in Dentistry, within the Eastman International Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in London, United Kingdom.

The Centre served London’s Arab community, providing dental care while building professional links between British dental institutions and their counterparts across the Arab world. Its mission combined patient care with dental education, research collaboration and the exchange of clinical expertise.
Extending this mission across the region, the Centre established British Centres for Excellence in Dentistry in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Hofuf in Saudi Arabia, as well as in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
